How do I create a personal IBAN?
Since November 2025, Knaken no longer uses a central IBAN number for manual EUR deposits. Instead, every customer receives a personal IBAN.
What is a personal IBAN?
A personal IBAN is a unique bank account number that is directly linked to your Knaken account. It ensures that deposits are automatically recognized, making the process faster and preventing delays or manual checks. Every deposit you send to this IBAN will be matched to your account instantly and securely.
How do I create a personal IBAN?
You can create your personal IBAN quickly and easily in your Knaken account. This can be done in both the app and the web portal.
Via the web portal:

Go to ‘Funds’ → ‘Deposit’

Select ‘EUR’

Choose the method ‘IBAN/SEPA’

Click on ‘Request IBAN’
Via the app:

Go to the home page and click ‘Deposit’

Select ‘Euro’

Click ‘Choose payment method’ and select ‘IBAN/SEPA’

Tap on ‘Request IBAN’
After requesting it, your personal IBAN will appear within seconds. You can use this IBAN for all future deposits.
Important: The name of the bank account you use must always match the name registered on your Knaken account. Only then can deposits be accepted.
